What is a hotel booking engine?
A hotel booking engine is the booking system on your own website. Guests check live availability, pick a room and rate, and pay to confirm directly with your hotel, so there is no OTA commission on that booking.
Is the RapidSync booking engine commission-free?
Yes. RapidSync does not take a commission on direct bookings. Guests pay through Razorpay on your own Razorpay account, so the money goes to your hotel and only the usual payment gateway fees apply.
Can I add the booking engine to my existing hotel website?
Yes. Every hotel gets a mobile-first booking page that you can link to from the Book Now button on your current website, or run on your own domain. You can also use the RapidSync hotel website builder, which has the booking engine built in.
Which payment methods can guests use?
Guests pay with UPI, cards or netbanking through Razorpay. You decide whether they pay in full, pay a deposit or pay at the hotel, and you can issue partial or full refunds from your dashboard.
Can I offer a lower price on my booking engine than on OTAs?
Yes. You can set a direct-only discount of up to 50% on any rate plan and change it for specific dates. The rate sent to your OTA channels stays the same. Some OTA contracts contain rate-parity terms, so check your agreements first.
